Dynamic Widget Design: Enhancing User Flexibility

The idea for this versatile widget concept began with a simple question: How could we offer users more control over their information consumption without overwhelming them with too many separate widgets? The solution came in the form of a single widget with dual functionality.

A Dual-Mode Widget for Scores and News

To bring this concept to life, I started by exploring user needs and behaviors. I realized that some users prioritize live scores, while others are more interested in news and updates. Instead of forcing users to choose between different widgets, I envisioned a design where they could easily switch between two modes—Score Mode and News Mode—within the same widget.
