The project began with the concept of adding a new feature to our platform: delivery. This required a new user experience that would allow users to choose how they want to purchase their products, whether through in-store shopping, delivery, or pickup.
Design Development
Throughout the project, there were frequent changes, often coming in at a stage where everything had almost been finalized. These adjustments often meant redesigning screens almost from scratch, which was frustrating but also helped instill discipline, emphasizing our goal to deliver the best product. Fortunately, we had the time to make these improvements. The project was allocated three months, and during that time, we managed to develop designs for both mobile platforms (iOS and Android) and the web. To see the result of our work on the web, you can refer to the Web Store Locator project.
Testing and Iteration
The design is currently undergoing extensive testing in the stores of our partners. While there is still much to improve in the development phase, the design I created has proven to be clear and intuitive. Users can easily understand where to click and what actions to take to get the desired result. Developers are currently in a busy phase as they work on launching the product.
Working on this project provided me with valuable experience in product design, especially considering the many scenarios that can occur. I was able to carefully think through each one, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience. The design effectively supports various purchasing options, and the feedback so far has been positive.
